 Auction text:
Dondersteen is not only striking because of his name (Dutch for ‘rascal’), but mostly because of his jumping abilities and his family. Father Vaillant combines the performance blood of For Pleasure with Ramiro, Nimmerdor and Orthos. Mother Odonja is a KEUR, preferred mare sired by Ferro who competed in the Z dressage class. Grandmother Fiedonja was also a KEUR, preferred performance mare, who was also the mother of the world-famous Grand Prix horse, Royal Kaliber (s. Ramiro), who, ridden by Chris Kappler, won Olympic team gold and individual bronze in the Olympics in Athens. Together with Andiamo, she also produced the Grand Prix horse Simple Kaliber. A full brother of Dondersteen was recently chosen to participate in the second inspection round of the KWPN stallion selection. With his reflexes, jumping manners and power, Dondersteen has just what it takes to become a fantastic jumper.
