Eclips is a remarkable showjumping horse in many respects. The combination Namelus R x Mermus R already supplied several showjumping talents that fetched a good price at auctions, such as VION Cup winner Boemerrang (260,000 Euro) and Cuba Libre (98,000 Euro). Eclips already gave a very good performance in free jumping, but also under saddle he shows a lot of promise. He has a lot of blood, jumps by the book and seems to be extremely careful.

The products of his elite-rewarded dam Sirene are performing at above average level. In October 2012 Donna (by Wittinger) finished 14th in the Portuguese championship for 4-yr-olds and one month later half-sister Cantate (by Cantos) was the EPTM-topper in Deurne with 84.5 points, including 9s for reflexes and attitude.

Grandam Madonna (by Boreas) produced the ZZ-level showjumping horse Ratina (by Kojak) and is herself a half-sister to the international showjumping stallion Dutch Falco and the national showjumping horse Hannibal. Great-grandam Ishana (by Ishan xx) is a full sister to the international showjumping horse Isidoor, on which Jan ter Halle won the Dortmund GP.
